Journey to the self through intuitive journal making. In this class, we will be creating our own piece of art as well as a place to create art in the form of a journal. Using an old book, we will remove the pages and make our own pages to bind into the book. By using recycled papers with various textures, you end up with a unique art journal. We will then embellish it to make it our own personal space to create. The journal becomes an expressive piece of art that can be used later for actual journaling, mixed media painting, art journaling or even junk journaling. There’s no journal more special than one made by hand. The process is as important as the finished product. No experience needed.
All materials will be included for a $15 supply fee, payable to Renee Syed on the first day of class.
