During this 4 week class, students will learn how to make small collages (8x10 or smaller) incorporating images from magazines, cards, books, and printouts. Each collage will be used as a reference for a for a larger painting in oil or acrylic (12x16 or bigger). The objective is for each student to create at least 4 collages which will be used for at least 2 paintings.
This class is for students of all levels, but they should be comfortable with basic painting techniques. During weeks 1 and 2, the class will focus on creating their collages. During weeks 3 and 4, the class will focus on
creating their painting.
A supply fee of $5, payable to Rebecca on the first day of class, will cover the cost of supplied materials. Please also see the materials list for what to bring to class.
