This class will provide a solid foundation for beginners and new techniques for both intermediate and advanced students.
We will explore coil, slab, paddling, pinch,plus sculpture with an eye towards combining any of these methods together. Projects may be functional (such as dishware, casseroles) or decorative (such as bottles, vases) . We will take a look at balloon, slump and press molds. Finally, ways to use surface treatment to enhance your projects will be discussed. These may include slips, transfers, and sgrafitto. The main goals are to have some fun and learn something new!
One 25 lb. bag of clay is included ($50 value includes glazes and firings) as well as time to work in the studio outside of class.
