Join us for an engaging exploration of how photographers can discover and cultivate their own unique visual voice. Through a candid discussion of the creative process and insights from my own photographic journey, we'll examine what it means to develop a personal style that feels authentic to you. Whether you're drawn to portraits, landscapes, street photography, or any other genre, this talk will introduce you to the work of master photographers whose distinct approaches can help illuminate your own aesthetic preferences. My hope is that you will move beyond technical proficiency and begin making images that truly reflect your individual vision and creative instincts.

About the Speaker:

As a fine arts photographer and photo instructor, I seek to capture quiet yet powerful moments of emotional connection between people and their environments. Through international photo tours and local workshops, I aim to inspire others to find meaning and beauty in the everyday.

My photography is driven by a passion for street scenes, street portraits and candid moments. I embrace available light, be it natural or ambient, as a means of conveying emotion and telling visual stories. My goal is to lose myself in the moment, uniting completely with my subject.

I have two complementary photographic styles: serene color landscapes reflecting the serenity I find in nature, and black-and-white and color street photography encapsulating my personal perspective.

My work has been exhibited across the United States and Europe, including at the Newport Art Museum, The Providence Art Club, and galleries in New York, Boston, London and Barcelona. I have published two photography books and am currently working on my third.

My photographs reflect my belief in photography's power to illuminate the extraordinary details of ordinary life.
