This five-week course guides students through intuitive art making using meditative exercises and painting with aqua media such as watercolor and ink concentrates. By quieting the mind and allowing the subconscious to lead, students will explore compositional improvisation, embracing spontaneity, experimentation, and abstraction. This class is for artists and creatives interested in deepening their intuitive process through mixed media. Open to all skill levels.
In this class, you will:
Develop meditative practices to enhance creativity
Experiment with watercolor and colored inks in an intuitive way
Explore abstraction, creative imagination, spontaneity, and compositional improvisation
Explore personal symbolic visual language from dreamtime and guided meditations.
These meditations are designed to guide, inspire and support the practice of allowing our conscious mindfulness, to illuminate the rich inner landscapes and inner figures encountered, within the symbolic language of our unconscious depths.
A $25 materials fee payable to Karen on the first day of class will cover the cost of supplies.
