This class will deal with forms that require lids: covered jars, casseroles, and teapots. You can try your hand at all three or focus on one or two. You will explore different types of covers, handles, and knobs while considering function, form, and surface decoration. There are several details to consider when creating a working teapot, covered jar, or casserole dish. In this class you will be able examine these details while creating your own style of wheel thrown or handbuilt work.

Pottery 1 class is required. One 25 lb. bag of clay is included ($50 value includes glazes and firings) as well as time to work in the studio outside of class.
