Pastels are the perfect plein air medium: they are fast, lightweight and it's easy to carry multiple paintings done in one excursion. They make excellent finished pieces or sketches for bigger work done in the studio.

In this class you will learn what you need to know to start or continue painting in plein air with pastels. The class will cover learning the basis of a good composition, setting up your equipment, learning a clear and simple way to start a pastel and help selecting a finish technique for your pastel painting. We will also cover storage and framing.
