Engage in the power of expressive arts to connect with yourself, nature, and others in this unique workshop. Through the use of recycled materials and found objects, you’ll explore your thoughts, feelings, and ideas about your relationship with the environment, the changing climate, or your visions for the future. Here, the focus is on personal expression—not technical art-making—allowing you to freely create 2D or 3D pieces that resonate with you.
A key part of this experience is eco-conscious creativity. You’ll contribute to a shared pool of materials by bringing old or unused art supplies, items from your recycling bin, and natural elements like twigs, leaves, or flowers. Together, we’ll reimagine and transform these materials into meaningful art, thinking creatively about how to repurpose and express through community-shared resources.
The workshop will begin with a brief mindfulness exercise to ground us, followed by art-making time and a group sharing session. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or completely new to making art, this is an inclusive space where no technical skills are needed—just a willingness to explore and express.
Join a like-minded creative community of individuals who share a passion for and concern about the environment. Feel supported and inspired as we process and express our emotions and ideas together through art.
This workshop will be held outdoors in the serene backyard of SCAA, weather permitting. In case of poor weather, alternative arrangements will be made.
