Creating Your Vision provides a unique opportunity to learn more about a wide range of photographic topics including lighting, composition, tech and gear talk, but more importantly, using photography to enhance your artful life. All you need is a camera (even a camera phone is fine) and an open mind!

Award winning artist David Lee Black orchestrates an experiential event monthly involving live models interacting with art in an inspiring location. Often this is a beautiful ballet dancer and amazing sculpture surrounded by a musical soundscape. Artists of all abilities are encouraged to photograph the unfolding special scenes with their own creative vision, taking away a powerful memory and spectacular images.

A juvenile parole officer for 27 years, David shares how he took a leap of faith to become a full time artist, expressive arts therapist, educator, musician, and traveler. David demystifies what it means to be an artist and explores how “being
creative” is a choice on the mood spectrum, as well as how to use art to lead a more authentic and inspired life at home, work and in the larger community. He provides technical instruction and guidance to help transform your creative vision into reality. You might not toss your livelihood to the scrap heap and chase a life of artistic whimsy, but you’ll discover how you can weave creativity into your life as it exists right now.

This workshop will take place at the Temple to Music in Roger Williams Park, Providence, Rhode Island. A $20 model fee will be due at the time of the class. Please note that this fee is based on the minimum number of students required for the class to run. If more than the minimum sign up, the model fee will be less per person.
