Solar plates are easy, safe, and versatile. They are light sensitive steel-backed polymer printmaking plates that can be used to create both intaglio and relief prints. Artists may use drawings, digital positives, computer jet or laser transparencies. This workshop will provide instruction on how to expose the plate to UV light, develop it in water and then print with non-toxic inks. Come learn about this simpler, safer, and faster approach to printmaking!
Materials will be provided for a fee of $20 paid to Patricia Cheyne on the first day of class.
