Join us as we draw from the famous Roman, Greek, Egyptian and Renaissance sculptures at the Slater Museum in Norwich, Connecticut. The museum showcases one of the most complete and comprehensive collections of plaster casts found in the world. Drawing the plaster casts will offer us a great opportunity to draw the figure seen from a different perspective. The casts can be drawn from various angles. As with drawing in my "Architectural Drawing Class," we will study proportions by measuring holding out a pencil and with the use of a grid. The weight of a line will be discussed along with shading. I will include in our discussion books on the drawings of the Old Masters. Pencil and charcoal is recommended.

Admission is free for the Slater Museum.
Parking is free at the front entrance, otherwise parking is free at the Church parking lot directly across. The guard will give you a visitors pass, you just need to show your driver's license.

Address: Slater Museum - 108 Crescent St, Norwich, CT 06360
