In this workshop the student will learn about hand building a square pitcher. They will expand their knowledge of different ways of finishing the surface of the piece by using stencils and layering underglaze colors on the clay to create a dynamic surface design. In the morning, we will design the surface of the clay. In the afternoon, the class will create the square form by using a template. We will also use a template for the spout. Finally, we will create a slab built hollow form handle.

This workshop is designed for anyone with a working knowledge of the basic techniques of creating a hand-built piece.
