A two day workshop focusing on creating “abstract” drawings and paintings based on forms found in nature. This class takes its inspiration from the early American Modernists such as Arthur Dove and Georgia O’Keefe as well some more recent artists such as Thomas Nozkowski. The workshop will begin with a short lecture with examples from well known artists. Then we work directly from nature creating drawings from observation. Finally we will return to the studio to complete a painting based on our drawings.
This workshop is open to all painting mediums.
