Embark on a creative journey with our Travel Sketching class, where you will learn how to capture the essence of your travel experiences through the art of sketching. This class is designed for both beginners and experienced artists who wish to enhance their skills and develop a unique visual diary of their adventures. Throughout the course, you will explore various sketching techniques, including quick gestures and shadow applications, all while focusing on the beauty of city scapes, landscapes, architecture, and personal cultural elements encountered during your travels.
What to Expect:
• Inspiration from Travel: Discover how to translate your travel experiences into art, using sharpies only and real-time observations as your muse.
• Field Sketching: Participate in outdoor sketching sessions (weather permitting) to practice capturing scenes and people on location, enhancing your ability to work quickly and confidently in various environments.
• Personal Style Development: Work on developing your individual style, encouraging creativity and self-expression throughout your sketches.
• Feedback and Growth: Engage in constructive critiques and discussions with peers and the instructor to refine your skills and gain new perspectives.

Materials:
• Black sharpies only (fine point, extra fine point, ultra fine point, chisel tip).
• Artist Loft Sketchbooks (9“ x 7”...easy to pack and cart. Search Michaels or Staples)
